One man who attended the ‘Burn’ was a Turkish Christian. He shared with one of the worship leaders that his sister, who was not a Christian, was at that moment in hospital waiting for a kidney transplant operation that would take place the next day. The worship leader shared this prayer request with the group who was gathered for that session and they spent some time worshiping and praying for her specifically.
As it can be quite dangerous for a Turkish person to become a Christian, the young man had not told his family that he was a Christian or that he had gone to this conference and asked for prayer for his sister. When he went to the hospital the next morning to visit her before she went in for her operation, she told him the most incredible story. She said that, in the night, she had a dream, and in the dream she saw a big gathering of people who were all singing. As she described the scene she saw, he realized that she was actually giving an amazingly accurate description of the ‘Burn’ worship gathering that had taken place that night.
She then said that as she was watching this scene, she saw a hand holding a kidney reaching down from heaven and putting it into her side. When she awoke the next morning, the doctor came in to examine her again before sending her in for surgery. The very shocked and confused Muslim doctor then said to her that somehow her kidney was completely fine and that she would not need to have the operation.
SHE WAS COMPLETELY HEALED!!!!!!
We all know that the Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 6 that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” However, a story like this demonstrates just how true this verse really is.
Interestingly, for the last few weeks, I have felt the Lord prompting me to upload a sermon onto our blog that I preached a little over a year ago at Riverstone Church in Marietta GA. I didn’t totally understand why until now. In the sermon, I talk about why we worship and what actually takes place in the heavenly realms when we worship. If you get a chance, I would really encourage you to listen to it. It could really help you to engage with God on a much deeper level and it will also give you a very cool picture of what is accomplished when we worship. It is a very practical message that the Lord totally gave me, so I don’t have any problems with saying that it is really good and that you ought to listen to it ☺
Many Blessings,
Lance
